Grocery List Staples

THE GROCERY STORE!!!

Can be the biggest chore on your to do list, or ( if you're like me, the grocery store has you feeling like a kid in a candy store!) So much to choose from, so many different labels and items and produce!!! It can become a bit overwhelming...and then we just start throwing things into our baskets. Things that we may or may not need..

So I am here today to give a few tips and tricks on grocery staples!! No matter what my meal plan looks like for the week I almost always have these on hand in my refrigerator or pantry. Now depending upon the season my produce will change. I love to shop seasonally because that is how you find the best produce!!! So for example during summer I LOVE peaches and cherries.. but during winter I love all the squash and pears!!!

I keep a dry erase board on the side of my fridge so that during the week I can write down items we need to replace. Then at the end of the week I make my whole grocery list and add those items to the list. This keeps me from running to the store 2-3 times a week!

Another thing I do to make grocery shopping easier, is I meal plan. Meal Planning each week will give you an outline of your  meals so that you aren't scrambling last minute trying to figure out what to eat for dinner. Meal planning also allows you to shop accordingly to your grocery list because you already know EXACTLY what you need!!! I tend to cook seasonally so during the summertime my grocery list will have lighter fare on it and lots of fruits and veggies. During the winter I buy heavier meat that can make roasts and stews and lots of root vegetables!! So you may see a slight change in your grocery bill if you do shop according to season.

I hope a few of those tips helped, and without further ado here are my grocery staples!
