Baby Number 2

Baby Frankhouser #2 is on the way!!!!
Expected arrival date is June 2018

We could not be more thrilled OR grateful to be expecting another sweet baby!! Many of you know it took us nearly TWO years to conceive our precious Jax.. during that difficult time I remember wondering WHEN/IF it was EVER going to happen. I know many of you have often wondered those same questions. There are so many different times in our lives when the outcomes are unknown and unpredictable. Those are the times when it is vital to lean on God. God is sovereign and he is ALWAYS working within us even during the times we aren’t sure if he “ hears our prayers”. Fast forward a beautiful pregnancy and baby boy later I felt redeemed. I felt as though God had TRULY answered my prayers with Jax.

B and I were never really diagnosed with any major fertility issues so it was unbeknownst to us and to the doctors why we had such trouble. God knew though.. and everything falls into HIS timing.

This second baby.. this blessing.. this GIFT came to us without any forewarning at all. Of course we always prayed diligently for our second child and hoped that God would bless us again whether it be through IVF or naturally but we never knew the timing and figured we would worry about the next baby January 2018.

God had BIGGER plans.

I came home one day from a MOPS meeting ..feeling “off” no other symptoms other than just having a weird feeling. Call me crazy but something told me to take a test.
When that test came back positive I nearly fainted off the toilet seat. Of course I took 7 more before calling Brandon hysterically to tell him the wonderful news. We were both so shocked and amazed at the work of our Lord. I had heard so many times about something like this happening to “ other people..” so I never really thought it would happen to us. God proved me wrong that day..and he also broadened my faith times a MILLION.

God gifted us a child without any medical intervention whatsoever.. in his beautiful and perfect timing. We certainly were not expecting to get pregnant so easily but that is the beauty of our God. He is that amazing.. and he is THAT big. He moved our mountain and opened our hearts even bigger for this next baby.  We never cease to pray in thankfulness for this unexpected blessing he gave to our family.

Life Lately

No eye has seen. No ear has heard. And no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9

Sometimes it is hard to imagine that God still has THE BEST yet to come for us. Often times when we are dragging feet through the valley..or perhaps finally content with life at the moment we cannot fathom that God has even bigger and better things in store for us.
I know that throughout my journey in life sometimes I feel like everything has come to a never-ending pause and I never know what is happening next. However, isn’t that the beauty of it all?? Not knowing what is to come is part of God’s beautiful mystery in blessing us daily! Most of the time God’s miracles are right around the bend.. that small piece of hope is something BIG to hold onto.

We should never be without hope, because God is never without a plan.

Happy Sunday Friends!!!

Hey Monday!

“ Who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?”- Matthew 6:27 If we do all we can and then entrust the outcome to God, worrying is pointless.

This verse was on my daily bible app and it just resonated with me today! I am by nature a worrier, like may of us are. There just always seems to be SOMETHING to worry about. I relish in the days when I can control my thoughts and spiritually feel at ease. Those days are few and far between but I am starting to experience more and more of those days while practicing the process of giving all of my thoughts to God. My husband on the other hand NEVER worries.. his trust in God is bigger than the rocky mountains. Seriously. HE NEVER WORRIES. I envy people who never worry...how calm cool and collected they must feel right?

I have been working on a three week bible study that is strengthening me to NOT worry.. it’s helping so much. The study is Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God

Ya’ll its awesome.

Goodbye anxious thoughts, worry, and chaos.

Hello peace.

grab it if you think it may help!!!

So that was just a tidbit into the start of this week..

Monday started off great! I had an amazing workout despite the rain.. Jax is STILL napping :) Going on 2.5 hours. Meals are prepped for the week and we are having dinner tonight with my family at Lupe Tortilla my favorite!!!

I have a great easy peasy chicken taco recipe that I am going to share with y’all ..

seriously it is so easy you could probably do it in your sleep. If you are watching your carb or gluten content simply replace the corn tortillas with jicama tortillas.

SHOPPING LIST:

1 package of organic skinless chicken breasts

1 jar of verde salsa

1 package of small corn tortillas ( think street taco size) or jicama tortillas

1/4 chopped yellow onion optional

1 cup shredded monterray jack cheese

1 avocado cubed separated

1 lime juiced

1 small bunch of cilantro chopped

Procedure:

S & P your chicken

pour the verde salsa over it and cook on low for 6 hours.
* add in onion if you want

shred once cooked

add in the monterray jack cheese

about half of the cubed avocado

sprinkle some cilantro and pour in the lime juice and let simmer for about 15 minutes

assemble tacos :)

SO EASY!

Inspiration.

I am always so inspired by beautiful writing. I absolutely love reading blogs or books where words just capture my senses and make me feel like I am living and breathing an author's story. As many books as I delve into each summer or read while staying up late in my office I can say with a full heart that there is not a story on my bookshelf that houses more beautiful imagery or truth than the word of my savior. As I was reading my morning devotional these beautiful words struck me and I am just in awe of what a beautiful author Jesus really is. Through his death he wrote our story and because of him we can use our stories to inspire. I was inspired this morning by these words;
" By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his
 mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars, he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm"

I don't have any followers(except my mom..thanks mom!) but just maybe one day I will inspire someone to cook something they never would have thought to make for their family. Thank you Jesus for being such an inspiration to us all!
