Mango Banana Chia Seed Pudding

This is just a quick and easy recipe for baby..

If you have a little baby who is eating simple purees this would make for a great breakfast.

for an older baby ( like my own) we use this as part of our breakfast in addition to eggs or an after nap snack :)

BENEFITS OF CHIA SEEDS
Chia seeds are compose of 60% omega 3s which makes it one of the richest plant based sources of fatty acids. Because of it’s high in fiber it helps regulate bowels which is very important for those babies because they can get constipated easily.
In just 2 tablespoons of chia seeds daily you get –
* 10 grams of fiber
* 18% of DRI for calcium
* 35% of your phosphorus
* 24% Magnesium
* 50% Manganese
* Chia seeds can also be a egg replacer. The outer layer of the seed swells with mixed with liquids to form a gel. All you need to do is mix 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water and let sit for 15 minutes.
* There is no need to ground the chia seed because you can digest it whole, unlike flaxseed and can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 years.

RECIPE:

1 banana + 1 alfafa Mango ( the smaller yellow mangoes in the store)
puree in your baby bullet or food processor and add in one table spoon of chia seeds.
Refrigerate overnight :)

Enjoy!

Banana Papaya & Banana Mango Mashup

Each week I am constantly thinking of new fruits to introduce to Jax or ways to mix them with his old favorites like banana. As of the past month I have been doing both a  combo of chunky purees and baby led weaning in order to allow Jax to have more independence in feeding himself.

I will blog more on Baby Led Weaning at another date!

anyways... I LOVE exotic fruit.. and now so does Jax!

Papaya and Mango were definitely a win for us

** as with each food test it separately to make sure there are no allergies before combining.
